They are al true FRIENDS and it would be nice if everyone had this nice friend but in a monk in need is a friend indeed I thought that the king would say it is good to help each other and then soon they become friends and the monk asks the same question and the king says the same thing . I also thought that the king tells his son that he is a monk and will help us but soon he becomes friends with the monk and then treats everyone nicely but that wouldn’t be true friends and if that was how the story was then the king was selfish and then he realised and again that would not be a sign of true friends but still a nice story and the theme would be kindness pays and it was a nice story

Perfect! Very very good book. I read this book because this book`s name is "True friends." This really teaches us about friendship!!! I have heard a song named "A friend in need is a friend indeed!" You are right Mora, this is a book that child has to read! Not a boring story author, what a friendly story! True friendship!!!!
